On Thursday, 10th November, Moreton Bay Regional Council and Innovate Moreton Bay delivered the inaugural Moreton Bay Region Innovations Day.

Innovations Day was an exciting half day event where forward-thinking leaders came together to immerse themselves in seeing first-hand what innovative and advanced manufacturing solutions are right here in the Moreton Bay Region.

Presented by Moreton Bay Regional Council and delivered by Innovate Moreton Bay, Innovations Day was an amazing opportunity for local innovative businesses to showcase and pitch their products and solutions to an audience of key decision makers from the public and private sectors.

Sixteen local businesses showcased their products and solutions. Exhibitors included The ASE Group; Concrete Data Sensors; Custom Lithium; Drone-Games, Elexon Electronics; EJ; Green Street; Metromatics; New Forge Engineering; ONETIME; Scooter Society; Solar Bollard Lighting; Spatial Innovation; TechForGood and Telein.

Highlighting the calibre of those taking part, five of these businesses were either finalists or winners at the 2022 Moreton Bay Business and Innovation Awards.

Additionally, we had a wonderful audience of key-decision makers and representatives from the public and private sectors.

This included representatives from the property and development sectors, including De Martini Fletcher, Stockland, The Mill at Moreton Bay, North Harbour, Ray White Commercial Northern Corridor Group, Tract; and representatives from the technology and ICT sector, including Amazon Web Services, and Data#3.

We were also joined by a wide range of government and education representatives, including those from Moreton Bay Regional Council, AusIndustry, Office of Defence Industry Support, multiple Queensland State Government Departments, Regional Development Australia Moreton Bay, Unity Water and Trade and Investment Queensland, UniSC amongst others.

It was fantastic to see the amazing (and incredibly diverse!) work and products being delivered by local businesses in the Moreton Bay Region, and to be able to facilitate connections with key representatives from government and industry.

Thank you again to everyone who took part in this event, and we look forward to seeing you at Moreton Bay Region Innovations Day 2023!
