AusIndustry Entrepreneurs Programme

The Entrepreneurs’ Programme can get you from where you are to where you want to be with advice and grants to enable high-potential businesses to strengthen, grow, innovate and commercialise nationally and globally.

The Australian Government-funded programme employs a network of business experts to help Australian businesses to strengthen, grow, innovate and commercialize to boost jobs, profits, exports, and resilience.

The Entrepreneurs’ Programme was announced as part of the 2014-15 Federal Budget. The program is the Australian Government’s flagship initiative for business competitiveness and productivity at the firm level.

It forms part of the Australian Government’s industry policy outlined in the Industry Innovation and Competitiveness Agenda, released on 14 October 2014 and the National Innovation and Science Agenda, announced on 7 December 2015.

A new Strengthening Business element was announced in March 2020 to support supporting businesses to recover from the 2019-20 summer bushfire emergency. It has also been recently expanded to support businesses affected by the Queensland floods.

Program Elements

The programme offers support to businesses through four elements:

  • Strengthening Business – a service that connects you with experts to make your business stronger, more resilient and better prepared for the future.
  • Growth services is a collection of services under the AusIndustry Entrepreneurs’ Programme that provide you with advice and funding to grow your business and become more competitive in global markets.
  • Accelerating Commercialisation provides small and medium businesses, entrepreneurs and researchers with access to expert advice and funding to help get a novel product, process or service to market.
