Innovate with nbn Grants Program

Businesses throughout regional and remote Australia continue to face wide-reaching challenges that have been rarely experienced before.

Even with all this adversity, regional businesses are still striving to maintain their competitiveness and relevance through innovation and determination.

In 2020, the Innovate with nbn™ Grants Program was launched. The program aims to recognise and showcase regional and remote businesses who are:

  • Innovators or entrepreneurs inspiring others in their community
  • Champions of digital adoption
  • Continuing to facilitate the digital capabilities and benefits of the nbn™ network
  • Advocates of supporting regional businesses

Who can Apply?

Digital businesses in regional and remote Australia who live and breathe technology and are:

  • Harnessing the benefits of the nbn™ network to enable regional Australians to live, learn and work in a digital society
  • Innovative digital businesses challenging the traditional markets in regional Australia
  • Businesses who are lifting digital participation and stimulating regional economies
  • Champions of digital adoption for regional and remote communities

Grant Categories

This year the Innovate with nbn™ Grants Program offers seven specific categories and an overall Champion award. Each grant category aims to recognise and celebrate regional businesses who are overcoming challenges with innovation, connectivity and networking within their communities.

  • Women in Regional Business
  • Health
  • Arts
  • Education
  • Argriculture
  • Tourism
  • Indigenous Business

Grants

The program will award one grant of $10,000 to an organisation or business project aligned with each of the above categories. Applications are only open to one category. Additionally, one regional/remote business will be recognised and awarded with the ‘Innovate with nbn™ Champion award’ worth $25,000. All businesses applying will need an Australian Business Number (ABN) to qualify.

Applications

Applications close on 30 November 2021.

Successful Grant recipients will be announced February 2022.
