LuvaBerry's Amanda Schultz named as finalist for National Awards

Amanda Schultz of LuvaBerry has been named as a finalist for the 2020 AusMumpreneur Awards across four categories - Sustainability, Food & Beverage, Product Innovation Award and the Regional Award category.

Amanda Schultz is a passionate force to be reckoned with. When she’s not managing the LuvaBerry fresh farm business during harvest, she’s connecting local growers, foodies and like-minded people, establishing a food revolution - The LuvaBerry war on waste.

With a naturopath background and growing industry frustrations, Mandy was inspired to find a solution to the problem of fresh fruit waste. Creating healthy snack products free from sugar and preservatives: the LuvaBerry’s freeze-dry range was born.

The LuvaBerry farm attitude has shifted, no longer accepting that waste is normal. Mandy is very excited that her LuvaBerry freeze-dry range has been recognised in four categories across the AusMumpreneur Awards.

Presented by The Women’s Business School, the awards celebrate and recognize Australian Mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognize the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.

There are many benefits to balancing business and motherhood as Mandy explains.

“I find being a mumpreneur so rewarding, I’m able to teach my kids valuable, hands-on life lessons. My two children have always been involved in our seasonal harvest and exposed to people from all over the world. It’s amazing for them to see us grow this idea from a genuine, emotional moment of frustration and despair into a positive outcome.”

This year LuvaBerry have launched Farm Gate, a website that brings together locally sourced freshproduce, offering Peckish Picking and farm tours. Mandy says, “We work hard to collaborate and connect with the local growers to celebrate their produce at our stall.

A goal we are working towards is a permanent farm stall on site, Farm Gate is helping us establish that dream into a reality.” If you’re interested in coming along to the family friendly Sunday Farm Gate you can find more information at www.farmgate.luvaberry.com.au .

The winners of the 2020 AusMumpreneur Awards will be announced at an online event in September.
