New website makes it easier to grow and expand agribusinesses

Moreton Bay Region agribusinesses can grow and expand through new website

The Palaszczuk Government is making it easier for agribusinesses to grow and expand with the launch of a new website.

Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries Mark Furner said the One-Stop Service website will help break down barriers preventing innovators from turning their business dreams into reality.

“If you are looking to grow your business or expand this site is your gateway to everything you need to make that happen,” Mr said.

“It provides the latest information on government services, agribusiness support, mapping tools and funding, agricultural processing and manufacturing, and trade, investment and export.

“The One-Stop Service also links business owners and investors with experienced regionally-based industry development officers within my department.

“Our rural economic development staff are based across Queensland, and they know the agricultural supply chain in their area.”

Mr Furner said the ultimate aim of this service is to attract agribusiness investment to Queensland, and create jobs and opportunities in our regional and rural areas.

“Through this service, the Palaszczuk Government is continuing to build a productive, sustainable and profitable agricultural sector,” he said.

“The service is free and is open to new and existing agribusinesses looking to diversify, intensify or expand their existing holdings.

“And it is not limited to on-farm activities. We encourage developments across the supply chain, including processing or logistics proposal, AgTech and innovation solutions or services.”

The One-stop service delivery model has shown recent success for a number of projects, including Tassal’s aquaculture investments and commitments in North Queensland.
