An innovative year in Moreton Bay

Innovate Moreton Bay wraps up 2020

If ever there was a year for Innovate Moreton Bay and the region’s ecosystem to shine, 2020 was it.

The outbreak of COVID-19 gave many businesses across the region the chance to pause and pivot, inspiring new products and new ways of operating.

Regional Innovation Co-ordinator Steve Butler says Innovate Moreton Bay’s end of year social catchup was a great chance for like-minded thinkers and tinkers to reflect on the successes of the past year.

Innovative ecosystem on the rise

“Moreton Bay businesses have proven that the region has an active and supportive ecosystem ” Steve says.

“While the year has been a tough one, we’ve also seen many successes, with businesses awarded state and federal grants so they can continue to scale and innovate, many winning awards and others launching new products.”

Monthly social catchups start again early 2021

Steve says the monthly social catchups are an opportunity for start-ups, entrepreneurs and businesses to share their stories and experiences with others.

“Collaboration is innovation and you never know who you might meet – you can connect with other genuine collaborators who might be able to help get your idea to the next level.”

Innovate Moreton Bay’s first social for 2021 is on January 20.
